[Ikkaku Madarame]

Division	Division Specality
1st	This division is in charge of teaching all new shinigami. This includes helping them learn to fight, use their Zanpaktou and cast Kidō. The Captain of this division is in charge of preserving all history on the Shinigami world.
2nd	The 2nd Division is in charge of all special attack tasks ranging from assassination to mass massacres on the Hallows. The Captain of this division is in charge of the Kido Corpse.
3rd	This division is in charge of maintaining balance between the Gotei 13. This would include, appointing shinigami to divisions, appointing captains and lieutenants, and settling matters and arguments between the different divisions. The Captain of this division is in charge of having info of abilities and biographies of each and every shingami.
4th	The 4th Division is the medical/supply division. They are responsible for both treating the injured and doing most manual labor such as cleaning Seireitei. Because of this, they have keys to most of the buildings and know the underground sewer system well. The 4th Division is further divided into teams that have specific assigned jobs. The Captain of this division is in charge of the main hospital and keeps track of all jobs needed to be done.
5th	They are the messenger squad of the Gotei 13, and many of its members appear to be skilled in Kidō. the Captain of this division is in charge of making sure highly classified messages are delivered personally.
6th	The 6th Division is known to be in charge of capturing rouge shinigami. Any Shinigami commit treason or are to be punished, are apprehended by members of this division to be later punished. The 6th Division is also in charge of all prisoners and detainees. The Captain of this division is in charge of punishment for criminals and traitors.
7th	The 7th Division is in charge of protecting the Seireitei. Any attacks towards the Seireitei are to be first dealt with by this division. This includes weeding out any inner threats. The Captain of this division is in charge of defense plans and keeping the other captains informed in case of an attack.
8th	The 8th Division is known to be in charge of all events within the Seiteitei. This includes creating and participating in tournaments, festivals, celebrations and holiday activities. The Captain of this division is expected to be seen at all events and is in charge of approving ideas for them.
9th	The 9th Division is known to be in charge of the Seireitei news magazine. All the Lieutenants of the Divisions of Gotei 13 hand in their report to them. Members are to always keep an open ear and gather the hottest news. The Captain is in charge of overlooking all information before being printed and is in charge of making sure no valuable or secret information is printed.
10th	The 10th Division is in charge of protecting the Rukongai District and maintaining peace within it. The Captain of this division is in charge of keeping constant contact with the Rukon leaders and maintaining balance between the two.
11th	The Eleventh Division is the melee combat Division with a specialization in swords-only combat, forgoing the other Shinigami arts. The Captain of this division is to hold the title as the best swordsman in Soul Society.
12th	Other than the 12th Division's connection to the Shinigami Research and Development Institute, no special duties have been noted for the 12th Division. Members are tasked with research and collection of data and samples, and the Captain is the President of the R&D Institute.
13th	The 13th division is in charge of the Communications department in the Soul Society. It also is to assume Earth's protection against hollows. The Captain is in charge of keeping records of Shinigami that are sent into the Human World and about their current actions.
